BRUSSELS, Dec 19 (PRIME) -- The E.U. has imposed sanctions against Russia’s Credit Bank of Moscow and Far Eastern Bank, as seen by PRIME in the union’s official journal released on December 16.

The E.U. also banned the acquisition of new or expansion of existing participation in Russian companies operating in the energy sector.

Russian filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov, TV presenters Boris Korchevnikov and Marina Kim, singer Grigory Leps, political scientist Sergei Mikheyev, and writer and blogger Dmitry Puchkov were included in the E.U. sanctions list.

The individuals involved in the personal E.U. sanctions have their assets frozen on the European territory, and they are also prohibited from travelling to the E.U.
